Position Overview
The State of Ohio is seeking an experienced Programmer 5 (.NET Developer) to design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise web applications. The selected candidate will work closely with IT managers, project managers, and development teams in an Agile environment, supporting the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through production support.

Required Skills
  •  10+ years of experience developing web applications using Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0+
  •  10+ years of experience with C#
  •  10+ years of experience with SQL Server (On-Prem & Azure), database design, SQL optimization, stored procedures, views, and functions 
  •  10+ years of experience applying SOLID design principles, software architecture, and design patterns 
  •  5+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core
  •  5+ years of experience with JavaScript and CSS
  •  5+ years of experience with Entity Framework (EF Core/LINQ) and SSRS
  •  5+ years of experience with Azure Technologies (Azure Functions, App Services, Key Vault, Redis Cache, App Insights, etc.) 
  •  5+ years of experience with SOA/Web API, REST API development, and integration 
  •  5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments 
  •  5+ years of experience writing unit tests
  •  4+ years of experience with .NET 6
  •  2+ years of experience with .NET 8
  •  4+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core Blazor
  •  4+ years of experience with Telerik Kendo UI for ASP.NET Core
  •  2+ years of experience with Telerik UI for Blazor
  •  4+ years of experience using Visual Studio 2022/2026
  •  2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (Git, Boards, CI/CD Pipelines) 
Preferred Skills
  •  Experience migrating legacy .NET applications to modern Microsoft technologies 
  •  Minimal API experience 
  •  TypeScript 
  •  SQL Dapper 
  •  Microsoft .NET and Azure Certifications 
Key Responsibilities
  •  Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise .NET applications. 
  •  Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. 
  •  Develop modern web applications using ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and C#. 
  •  Build and consume REST APIs and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) services. 
  •  Design and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and functions. 
  •  Develop applications using Entity Framework, LINQ, and Azure cloud technologies. 
  •  Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD deployments. 
  •  Write unit tests and ensure code quality using best development practices. 
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.
