Position Overview
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support an existing Agile development team. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users and developers to gather requirements, perform system testing, create documentation, support production issues, and ensure applications meet business needs while following Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of Requirements Gathering
- 2+ years supporting software in a Production Environment
- 2+ years handling customer-reported issues
- 2+ years developing Business Requirements Documentation
- 2+ years conducting System Testing and validating application functionality
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience creating user stories, tasks, and bugs using Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Knowledge of Business, Functional, User, and Non-Functional Requirements
Preferred Skills
- Commonwealth of Pennsylvania experience
- Scrum / Agile Development experience
- Selenium or Automated Testing tools
- Azure DevOps
- Facilitated Requirements Workshops
- WCAG 2.1 Accessibility Testing
- User Guide and Training Documentation
- Functional & Non-Functional Requirements Analysis
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, user, and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams to deliver effective software solutions.
- Create user stories, tasks, bugs, and manage work items in Azure DevOps.
- Perform system testing, validate functionality, and support production issues.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, requirements workshops, and Agile development activities.
- Assist with user training, documentation, and development of user guides.
- Support accessibility testing and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards.
- Provide ongoing customer support and maintain project documentation.
