Position Overview
The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) is seeking an experienced IT Security Documentation Consultant (Technical Writer) to develop, revise, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity governance documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical writing for IT security, cybersecurity frameworks, security governance, risk management, and policy development while ensuring documentation aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and revise enterprise information security policies and standards.
- Create technical standards, operational procedures, implementation guides, and security baselines.
- Produce governance and compliance documentation aligned with cybersecurity frameworks.
- Review documentation for technical accuracy, consistency, completeness, and enforceability.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to document security controls, processes, and governance requirements.
- Recommend improvements to documentation structure and governance processes.
- Maintain document version control and support periodic reviews.
- Create documentation for technical teams, management, auditors, and external reviewers.
