Position Overview
Arizona Strategic Enterprise Technology (ASET) is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technology Lead to serve as the primary technical owner of the AtoZ Arizona Portal ServiceNow implementation. The AtoZ Portal is a statewide initiative designed to provide Arizona citizens with a centralized, user-friendly gateway to public services.

The selected candidate will oversee ServiceNow architecture, development, platform governance, integrations, vendor management, and technical roadmap planning while ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance with State standards.

This is a 100% remote position, however candidates must be local to the Phoenix area and eligible to convert to full-time employment. The State of Arizona cannot sponsor visas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical owner of the AtoZ ServiceNow platform.
  • Ensure platform quality, scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Manage and prioritize the ServiceNow technical backlog in Jira.
  • Oversee enhancements, bug fixes, modernization efforts, and release planning.
  • Review and validate ServiceNow architecture, workflows, and development solutions.
  • Provide hands-on ServiceNow configuration and troubleshooting support when needed.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between AtoZ and implementation vendors.
  • Review vendor technical designs, documentation, and proposed solutions.
  • Participate in procurement evaluations, SOW reviews, and technical proposal assessments.
  • Support agency onboarding and integration initiatives.
  • Collaborate with identity management and technical teams on authentication and integration solutions.
  • Translate business priorities and requirements into technical execution plans.
  • Lead platform upgrades, modernization projects, and release cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, security, and State technology standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Create technical stories, acceptance criteria, testing requirements, and documentation.
  • Maintain workflow diagrams, architecture documentation, and technical artifacts.
  • Recommend improvements to platform stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

  • 5+ years of ServiceNow experience in a technical role such as:
