Position Overview
The State of Mississippi (DFA) is seeking an experienced Application Developer III with strong expertise in C#/.NET development and testing. This role involves building, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications while supporting data integration, performance optimization, and testing initiatives in a complex technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies
- Perform unit, integration, and manual testing, including test case design and UAT support
- Develop and integrate APIs, data models, and database solutions
- Support data migration, schema design, and performance optimization
- Work within Azure cloud environments and Windows Server infrastructure
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git-based version control
- Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting
- Maintain technical documentation and support system enhancements
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in C#/.NET development
- 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps
- Strong experience with:
- SQL / SQL Server
- JavaScript, JSON, YAML
- CI/CD practices and Git version control
- 5+ years of experience in data modeling, API development, and data migration
- 5+ years of experience in testing (unit, integration, UAT, performance testing)
- Experience working in enterprise server environments and development workstations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adabas Database / ADABAS systems
- Experience with z/OS environments
- Experience working with Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Knowledge of mainframe or legacy system integration
