Job Overview:
The State of Ohio DPS is seeking a Senior Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable, enterprise-level applications and systems. The candidate will work in an Agile environment and collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to deliver highly reliable and modern solutions. This role focuses on advanced Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and modern architecture practices including microservices and DevOps.
The State of Ohio DPS is seeking a Senior Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable, enterprise-level applications and systems. The candidate will work in an Agile environment and collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to deliver highly reliable and modern solutions. This role focuses on advanced Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and modern architecture practices including microservices and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable application architecture and infrastructure
- Lead development efforts using modern Microsoft technologies and frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Guide adoption of microservices, containers, and cloud-based solutions
- Support DevOps practices including release management and build pipelines
- Review code, enforce standards, and ensure best practices
- Perform data modeling, system integration, and deployment planning
- Research and recommend new technologies and architectural improvements
- Balance technical standards with team flexibility and autonomy
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Architect with strong development background
- 15+ years of experience in .NET development (ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core)
- Strong expertise in C# (C-Sharp)
- 10+ years of experience with TFS, Azure DevOps, or Git
- 10+ years of experience working in Agile environments
- 10+ years of experience with SQL Server databases
- 5+ years of experience in cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
- 5+ years of experience with REST APIs
- Experience with Git branching, release management, and build servers
- Experience with Microservices, Blazor, SignalR, and MAUI
- Experience with event-driven architectures
