The City of Phoenix Water Services Department is upgrading its asset management system through a collaborative effort between the Water Services IT team, business units, and the City of Phoenix IT department.

We are seeking a Technology Operations Coordinator to serve as the central liaison, ensuring smooth communication, coordination, and timely execution across all teams involved in this critical project.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Act as a strategic partner in identifying project goals and delivering value-added solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage competing priorities across interdisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand needs and translate them into actionable requirements for IT teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with business outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for technical teams.
  • Prepare business cases, executive-level summaries, and documentation that connect business needs with technology or process solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with IT audit procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication through excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Follow up on assigned tasks and action items to ensure timely completion and accountability across teams.
  • Maintain and enforce a set cadence of updates (daily or weekly) through status meetings, progress reports, and summary communications to stakeholders. 

Qualifications 

  • Background in Business Analysis, Business Relationship Management, Operations, or IT Project Management within a large municipal, enterprise, or utility organization.
  • Proven success in collaborative work across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
  • Understanding of IT audit procedures and regulatory compliance (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with asset management systems or large-scale IT implementations.
  • Familiarity with municipal or utility operations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Compensation: $41.00 - $45.00 per hour
