Job Title: SAP BRIM SOM/CI Functional Consultant / SME (Hybrid)
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – PTC (UBOS Program)
Location: Middletown, PA (Hybrid – Mostly Remote)
Only candidates living within 1.5 hours of Middletown, PA will be considered
Primary Work Locations (as needed):
- 700 South Eisenhower Boulevard, Middletown, PA
- 2850 Turnpike Industrial Drive, Middletown, PA
Work Arrangement
- Mostly remote with required onsite presence as needed
- Onsite meetings approximately 1 week per month
- Must be available to report onsite within 3 hours in case of emergencies
- In-person interviews and some work sessions required in Middletown, PA
Position Summary
The SAP BRIM SOM/CI Functional Consultant / SME will serve as a key functional expert for SAP S/4HANA BRIM implementations supporting high-volume, usage-based billing and revenue management. The consultant will lead design, configuration, testing, and integration activities while working closely with business and technical teams to deliver compliant, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, configure, implement, and test SAP BRIM solutions in S/4HANA
- Hands-on work with:
- Subscription Order Management (SOM)
- Convergent Invoicing (CI)
- Convergent Charging
- Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Subscription Order Management (SOM)
- Lead business workshops to gather and validate requirements, processes, and user stories
- Design and configure end-to-end billing, revenue management, and subscription models
- Ensure integration with external systems (CRM, ERP, payment gateways)
- Ensure PCI DSS, SOC1, and SOC2 compliance
- Support data migration, cutover, delta loads, and reconciliation for high-volume data
- Recommend and design SAP Fiori usage for business users
- Create functional specs, test cases, and documentation using Microsoft ADO
- Review SIT/UAT scripts and participate in testing and defect resolution
- Deliver training, mentoring, and documentation for business and support teams
- Maintain strong collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams
Required Experience & Skills

7+ years of hands-on SAP BRIM configuration (SOM, CI)

3+ years SAP S/4HANA BRIM experience hosted in a commercial cloud

At least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA BRIM implementations
- Experience with non-SAP CRM systems and real-time payment processing
- Strong expertise in:
- PCI DSS compliance
- Tokenization and secure payment flows
- Payment gateway integrations
- PCI DSS compliance
- Familiarity with mediation systems for usage capture and rating
Desired Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA BRIM certifications (BR235, BR240, BR245, BR416)
- Experience in utility or transportation industries
- Experience with usage-based subscription billing models
- Hybrid Agile implementation experience
- Microsoft ADO or JIRA
- SAP BTP (event-driven architecture, APIs)
- ServiceNow (post go-live support)

- Candidate must be located within the Continental U.S.
- Background checks required:
- Pennsylvania ePATCH
- National Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania ePATCH
- Orientation and equipment pickup must be onsite (travel not reimbursed)
- Travel reimbursement (if authorized) must follow GSA guidelines
- Must comply with all PTC IT standards and policies
- Overtime requires prior written approval
Compensation: $97.00 per hour
