🔎 About the Role
The State of Arizona – AZDOR (Agency Support Division) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major cloud migration, application modernization, and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong cloud knowledge (AWS preferred), Azure DevOps expertise, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams through migration waves and application/infrastructure modernization.
- Manage vendors, project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
- Collaborate with application, security, testing, and operations teams for integrations.
- Track work via Azure DevOps Boards, Jira, or GitLab (stories, bugs, epics, releases).
- Map technical dependencies across cloud, security, and infrastructure services.
- Drive risk management, DR/backup planning, and IAM/security alignment.
- Support OCM activities and stakeholder communication.
- Maintain full project documentation: charters, schedules, RACI, training/testing plans, post-mortems.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Business, or related field.

8+ years of IT Project Management, with hands-on cloud migration & infrastructure experience.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps / Jira.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation.
- Experience with DR, backups, IAM, RBAC, and security practices.
- Vendor management experience (SLAs, performance, issue resolution).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications

PMP or SAFe certification
- Government / public sector experience
- Understanding of NIST, FedRAMP, or other regulatory/compliance standards
Compensation: $52.00 per hour
