Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM (40 hrs/week)
Onsite Requirement: 3 Days/Week | Hybrid (60% Onsite / 40% Remote)
Client: SOAZ – AZDEQ – Waste Programs Division (WPD)
Start Date: ASAP upon selection & onboarding

Position Overview

The Administrative Services Officer will support the Waste Programs Division by managing daily administrative tasks, assisting team members, and ensuring efficient workflow execution. This is a high-volume, fast-paced support role requiring excellent computer skills, strong communication, and the ability to switch tasks frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Review team email inbox multiple times daily

  • Save and organize documents

  • Track information in spreadsheets and dashboards

  • Meet daily with the manager; meet with team members multiple times per week

  • Report late responses to the manager

  • Draft letters and email correspondence

  • Maintain and update calendar events

  • Stay available via Google Meetings, chats, or phone (frequent check-ins every 15–30 minutes)

  • Handle confidential data

  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Experience in high-volume administrative roles

  • Ability to multitask and switch tasks frequently

  • Flexibility and ability to follow set workflows

  • Google Suite proficiency (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, Google Meetings)

  • Experience using business software

  • Fast response to emails and requests

Preferred Skills

  • Prior administrative experience

  • Administrative certifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Additional Details

  • Must have reliable internet and a home workstation for remote work

  • Training will follow a hybrid schedule

  • Potential extension beyond 90 days

  • Candidate may start before 01/05/2026 after clearing onboarding

Compensation: $30.00 per hour
