Job Description
The Procurement Analyst 2 ensures that IT products and services are acquired in the best interest of the State. This role is responsible for procuring IT-related goods and services, evaluating vendors, and supporting the agency through RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
This project-based role requires strong research, negotiation, and analytical skills to evaluate services and make sound recommendations. The candidate will work across business units to support vendor evaluations, supplier selections, and contract negotiations.
Under general supervision, this position supports financial and procurement functions at an agency-wide level—including Software, SaaS, Hardware, Cloud Infrastructure, Telecommunications, IT Implementation, Advisory & Managed Services, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate can apply IT procurement knowledge, statewide regulations, and financial principles to handle moderately difficult procurements independently.
