Job Description:
The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control is seeking an experienced Drupal Developer to join our development team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-traffic Drupal-based web applications and websites. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Drupal 8/9/10, strong PHP and OOP skills, and experience working across the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Drupal websites and web applications.

  • Develop custom Drupal modules and themes using PHP, Twig, and JavaScript.

  • Integrate third-party APIs and services, including CRMs, payment gateways, and authentication systems.

  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and developers to implement technical requirements.

  • Optimize website performance, security, and scalability.

  • Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to coding standards.

  • Manage deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Drupal core, modules, and integrations.


Required Qualifications:
 
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Drupal 8/9/10 development.

  • Expert-level proficiency in PHP and OOP principles.

  • Strong understanding of Drupal’s API, database architecture, caching, and security best practices.

  • Experience developing custom modules and themes from scratch.

  • Proficiency with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, modern JavaScript (React or Vue preferred).

  • Experience with Drush, Composer, Git, and relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.


Desired Qualifications:
 
  • Experience with headless/decoupled Drupal architectures.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience in performance tuning and monitoring.

  • Active contributor to the Drupal open-source community.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2).

 
Compensation: $54.00 per hour
